Stryker M1129 MC

(Mortar Carrier)

This Mortar Carrier Stryker variant will be responsible for medium indirect fire support and will use a heavy, vehicle mounted M121 120mm Mortar to lay down some serious indirect fire (great to cover and support other advancing Strykers).

Unlike the other Strykers (ICV, MGS and ATGM), the MC won't have defensive smoke grenades by itself, however it can launch Smoke Rounds using it's mortar in order to provide support and a forward troop concealing smokescreen.

Stryker "Family" Overview

The Stryker is a recent "family" of armored fighting vehicles which entered service in the US Army, these vehicles have been adopted with several roles in mind, therefore there are several specific variants with several specific roles and duties in mind:

- M1126 Infantry Carrier Vehicle (ICV);
- M1128 Mobile Gun System (MGS);
- M1129 Mortar Carrier (MC);
- M1134 Anti-Tank Guided Missile (ATGM).
