Re: Funny Stuff!
And, unlike playing on the Internet, there were no laggers, hackers or cheaters there, it was pure hardcore gaming competition, no one had the advantage in terms of speed, hardware or cheats.
The price was very appealing, it wasn't expensive, so we could spend the rest of the day playing and having a good, fun time.
And last - but not least - i could face my opponents in reality and making sure they heard my ranting and actually mess with them in real life!!!
There was a dude in that lan house that was kinda nuts (really crazy), when he got killed he would literally start screaming $hit loud and clear, everyone would start to lol , for example, when i sniped him (lol i sure did) he would start to scream something like "mothaf.ucking sniper always f.ucking camped with that mothafuckin.g rifle, mothafuck.ing mothafuck.er", that b@stard was a good source of laugh , the way he ranted was like a song of victory (at least it was a song of victory for me, he couldn't say the same thing )

Re: Funny Stuff!
lol!! i remember i used to that too. there was a fast and furious racing game in a little bowling alley near my apartment. (2 minutes slow walk). so whenever me and my friends had change we woud go in and play it. we had like the top highest scores because you could save your personal account, cash, and cars. It was awesome! when the list would go you would see:
1)bjesse49 :$ 8,156,678,000
2)marc15yo: 7,134,534,000
3)luis: 6,146,945,003
4) blahblah blah; 100000
5) bla bla bla: $ 90000
.......
we were at the top. and whenever you get first place in a race u would get free race. it was a perfect time killer during summer especially since they had AC. AND on top of that they had Chicks!! and kids from our school. me and my friend tried to play this chick that was working at the counter. we got her name, a lil info. but we never asked for Number. we also used my friend's little 9 year old brother to 'seduce' her lol......

Re: Funny Stuff!
, although now we have pc's to play (which is much more practical not just for playing but for a lot of stuff) i kinda miss those days, that particular LAN house closed, the owner changed it to an insurance company firm
Playing through the internet is really cool as well, but we are rather too much affected by laggers, not to mention the casual hacker or cheater ruining the whole fun... In a good lan house (like that one) we had fair and square competition, all games runned smoothly and in harmony.
We had awesome competitions where we could win trophies and other prizes and we could insult the other players
personally , which was good because there were no foul noobs talking BS through the net (except the casual wacko, that guy who was always screaming $hit, but that was usual, and funny as hell.
If youtube existed back then we could have released a video of his crazy ranting, instant internet hit!!!

OFMG!
how heavy or powerful was that rifle? it takes a tough guy to survive that kind of recoil lol.
The Desert Eagle. My #1 favorite pistol. also my first Airsoft pistol model. this baby is so sweet. developed by israel i think? a 50 cal pistol. i try to explain to my friends what it means when someone says a 50 cal pistol. i just say "u see them big gunz on the humvee's in iraq? well picture one of those shrunk to fit inside ur pocket" lol

Re: Funny Stuff!
That caliber (.577 Tyrannosaur/.577 T-rex) was made to hunt very large animals (large game), but if I was a hunter I would certainly choose some other heavy calibers (there is a pretty good selection), and many of those alternative large calibers are quite comfortable to fire according to general consensus.
A hunter's gotta have some serious skill to tame this caliber, but it is quite impractical to fire several shots in a fast succession (which is usually needed to take out large prey).
Many of the shooters in that video are clearly uneducated with large caliber rifles, but even though, this caliber is unpractical on my opinion.
I also love the Desert Eagle, the Magnum guys made the initial prototypes (and built some of them), but the production was then resumed by Israeli Military Industries ('IMI', their current name is Israel Weapon Industries, 'IWI'), then it moved to several companies until it ended up being fully produced in Israel.
This gun haves lots of calibers, the one that that skinny chick 'met' was the famous .50 Action Express caliber version:
As you can see, the .50 Action Express is a BIG ASS caliber, this weapon is mainly used for hunting and silhouette shooting, and, contrary to popular belief, the Desert Eagle is a less than ideal weapon for actual combat.
