M1114 Up-Armored Armament Carrier HMMWV

(High Mobility Multipurpose Wheeled Vehicle)

Since the famous Humvee was introduced for service on the battlefield, a series of issues popped up, troops needed extra protection and the Humvee role was even more expanded than before, after a series of upgrades, the M1114 was built to meet the US Army's requirements for a scout, explosive ordnance disposal and military police vehicle.

This version (M1114 Up-Armored Armament Carrier) was upgraded with higher ballistic protection armor and extra protection against explosives.

There are two main variants, one is armed with a .50 Caliber Machine Gun, and the other one with a Mk.19 Automatic Grenade Launcher.
The turret shield gives a great deal of cover to the gunner, however, he is still exposed to enemy fire to some degree.
