Ouch, they really buried that idea on a record time
In TAOW's case I'd say it would be very difficult if not impossible, specially since snipers are no longer a unique soldier but rather a team (Spotter + Shooter), plus they can get to prone position in order to remain stealthy.

true, the old sniper in a tree thing was for the lone marksman of hollywood. i think a spotter and shooter trying to fit in a tree is a bit of a laughable idea

LOL! What if the spotter gets killed, and it just happens that this sniper isn't arachniphobic? Are we cookin with butter now or what?
I think the more you can do in the game usually just means a better game. Unless it envolves tractors that spray or sprinkle deadly bull $h!%. Thats just plain stupid. I like the idea of the soldier interacting with the environment. Adds to replay value and makes it more realistic for me anyways. Spiders are just below Chuck Norris on my "just to scary to be simulated" scale. Besides, its also another reason to burn some grass

i'd be carefull about mouthing off on chuck...
i once played his personally designed game "Chuck Norris Vs the Ninja Pirates"
every button on the controller did a round-house kick lethal to anyone within a 5 mile radius.

Chuck Norris kicks well, Chuck Norris kicks very well. I think there might be a chance at a cameo in this game. (Delta) hostage rescue, (would be a mission mode only. Delta wears black, so some soldiers in black with the same attributes of probably a Ranger or something along those lines.) I think it would be a cool little addition. Not sure how many pixels his beard is but Marc is a miracle worker so... I'm sure he can keep the poly count below 1000. Of course if he did show his face in the game he would have to stripped of his deadly roundhouse kick. {attempt this at your own risk.} Marc, love ya man, were with you all the way, but we can't protect you if this backfires.

We are still working on a new squad health recovery "logic" (you may remember the mob's "healing" logic was to "spawn" brand new and fresh civvies which is ... *cough* strange).
On the Sniper/Spotter case, I'd say if the spotter is killed, the sniper's field of view is decreased (and won't have so much close range protection) and if the sniper is killed, then the spotter will have to use his weapon to cover himself until a replacement sniper is ready.
