The Art of War Armory
Hellow members, We are going to release some of our Weapon Renders to the Forums.
Firstly we will explain exactly how the us weapon polls have helped us decide on the rifles.
The Poll revealed that you prefered (TOP 2 winners) the HK416 and XM8 Rifles. Well to make everyone happy, we've decided to Include BOTH! But here are the following Conditions. The US Army Primary Standard Rifle will be the M8 (XM8). The US Marine Corps' Primary Standard Rifle will be the M416 (HK416). And as a Bonus we will also Include the M417 (HK417).
Each Weapon will be able to be equipped, according to infantry class, with different attachments, and sights. Each infantry class will have it's ups and downs. Ex1: Rifleman Marksman will be equipped with an ACOG (Advanced Combat Optical Gunsights) giving him longer range and more accuracy than the standard rifleman with an Aimpoint Reddot sight. Ironsights will even further limit accuracy.
Understanding Rifleman Classes:
Rifleman - the Rifleman is the most basic of all soldiers, carrying a standard weapon with Aimpoint. No special abilities.
Rifleman marksman - Will carry a sharpshooter variant of the standard rifle but with ACOG or a Light 4x Scope such as SUSAT
Automatic Rifleman - will have a standard rifle with an extended magazine or a drum magazine.
Machinegunner - Will carry a heavy machinegun such as an M240 or PKM
Designated Squad Atomatic Rifleman - will carry a light machine gun such as an M249 and will have the capability to suppress enemy units for longer periods of time
Squad Designated Marksman - may be equipped with a medium range/firepower sniper rifle like an SR-25, or M24. Giving him a very close Role to as a Sniper.
Sniper - will carry a ghillie suit and a heavier long range sniper rifle like a Macmillan TAC-50. A sniper will use stealth and concealment to huntdown it's target at a safe distance
Medics,Engineers - Will Carry a Standard Rifle with ironsights
Grenadier Rifleman - Will Carry the Standard Rifle with a 40mm Grenade Launcher Attachment
Designated Grenadier - will Carry an Automatic or Revolving Grenade Launcher weapon such as an M32
Upgrades to improve Soldier Weapons and accuracy will be available. Ex: will give medics and Engineers Red dot Scopes, Machine gunners and Automatic Riflemen Elkan Scopes or Reddots. Each improving unit range and accuracy. Many more.
Also Note that Special Forces Units and other Advanced units will carry different types of customized weapons with improved abilities.
