Should We have 3d cockpits?
Re: Should we have 3d cockpits?
Personally I could care less if the canopy is see through. Yeah it will look cool, but do I want to wait that much longer for them to be done to play the game, no.

Sorry, just like James said, we still don't have an estimative of the mod's completion.

At first we wanted to make a test with 3D cockpits, but that would considerably increase a model's segment/polygon count (thus making vehicles more "heavy"), and so we decided not to include'em (the poll was more of a test).

Nope, if we use too much detail on TAOW's models/vehicles, I'm afraid that Zero Hour's game engine will run the mod slowly (or will have technical problems/crashes).
That's why most Zero Hour vehicles don't have internal parts.
For example, check the Apache's cockpit canopy:
Unfortunately we can't show the pilot and detailed internals because that would make the model very "heavy" for the game engine to handle (simple explanation though).
The same is applied for land vehicles like the Humvee

Exactly , we want people with all kinds of computers (older and newer ones) to be able to play the mod.
