heavy units Empty heavy units

There is an idea Enter nevertheless such heavy units as С-300, S-400
Very much it would be desirable to see in game such happiness as: С-300П (SA-10 Grumble)
С-300ПМУ-1/2 (SA-20 Gargoyle)
С-300В (SA-12 Gladiator/Giant)
С-300Ф (SA-N-6)
С-300ВМ "Antej-2500" (NATO SA-23 Gladiator\Giant)
S-400
Can be in special modes of game?
Please)))))))))))))))

, ISKANDER, TOPOL M BUT THEY ARE ACCESSIBLE ONLY IN CERTAIN MODES OR AT THE INCLUDED CERTAIN OPTIONS
ALSO BEAR CERTAIN PROBLEMS

FOR EXAMPLE
C-300 - ROCKET shield

(SS-26) Iskander - Drawings of effective rocket attacks on especially important малоразмерным and to the vulgar purposes in the heart of operative construction of armies of the opponent: to fire means (rocket complexes, РСЗО, long-range artillery), to planes and helicopters in airdromes, to command centr

And so on

This weapon will be very much limit in application. Well at the highest level at expansion коммандного point and a locator of the big range

It is possible to add a mode in game where there will be an item war with application of rockets of average range and expansion PRO of type c-300

What will you tell on it?

The devs said something about no Weapons of Mass Destruction (nukes in this case the TOPOL M) in regular gameplay but I wouldnt mind seeing it as a mission unit for like the RT-2PM Topol in the Cold War Crisis mod.

Greetings Berkut, welcome to The Art of War Forums Thumbs Up!

Since TAOW places emphasis on tactical warfare, under normal circumstances the S-300 / S-400 (and it's variants) or the American Patriot missiles won't be normally controllable due to their "extensive" and "long ranged" surface to air capabilities (which could realistically cover entire Zero Hour maps).

However it's important to note that there are certain exceptions in which the player (or the player's allies) will have direct control of S-300 missiles:

  • On the Naval Mode, used by the Russian Navy for both long range surface to air attack and missile defense (for downing enemy cruise missiles / anti-ship missiles);

  • Used in the Campaign Missions as an objective (possibly both defensive/offensive objective, depending on the player's specific faction).

It's probable (probably yes).

There's always the possibility of a special skirmish mode in which players might control larger weapons such as S-300 or 9K720 Iskander missiles though at the moment it's not known.

Precisely, S-300 / Topol launchers are very likely to be included as mission objectives (depending on the player perspective/faction the player will need to either defend or destroy them).

LOL Razz

The conventional Russian Surface to Air Class will consist of:

Class 1
Class 2
Class 3
ZSU-23-4 'Shilka'
2K22M1 (2S6M1) Tunguska-M1
Pantsir-S1

Note that the higher the class the more effective the vehicle is on their assigned (surface-to-air) role.

We're not sure at the moment, The Art of War will have numerous differences from Generals Zero Hour (for example: TAOW will focus on a completely new, mobile battlefield, with Mobile Command Vehicles) so the team haves a lot of testing and coding to do before the public version.

These forums will be the first ones to officially announce the public beta (when we're about to release the beta, we'll invite forum members to participate through an email newsletter Cool ).
