It's really nice to see some smoke when A-10 GAU-8 fires. like the CWC have done.

Oh yeah!
Expect a lot of smoke and loud firing sounds for the GAU-8, the way it was meant to be
(plus it's a great way to demonstrate the cannon's massive firepower 
).

The GAU-8 Avenger is so important that the A-10 was actually built around it (the A-10 prototypes were designed from scratch to include the weapon).
In the Middle East, the A-10 is perhaps the favorite close air support aircraft of the Coalition Forces, there are many reports of rebel attacks ceasing simply after A-10 support shown up, not only the GAU-8 haves extreme firepower, it also haves an immensely intimidating sound which haves a great psychological impact in the opposition.
