Re: Hey Snake!
guns that shoot spiders
XD
With a couple of clicks (or maybe a hotkey), I'll tell them that we live in a world that has walls and that those walls have to be guarded by men with guns. I will tell them that I have a greater responsibility than they can possibly fathom. They weep for mistreated prisoners and curse the military. They have that luxury. They have the luxury of not knowing what I know, that the naked human pyramid and homoerotic torture, while tragic, probably saved lives. And my existence, while grotesque and incomprehensible to them, saves lives.
I'll tell them that they don't want the truth, because deep down, in places they don't talk about at parties, they want me on that wall. They need me on that wall. I'll tell them that I have neither the time nor the inclination to explain myself to men who rise and sleep under the blanket of the very freedom I provide, then question the manner in which I provide it.
I'd rather they just said "thank you" and went on their way. Otherwise, I'd suggest they pick up a weapon and stand a post. Either way, I don't give a damn what they think they're entitled to.
Brilliant comment and article , absolutely agreed.
The problem is that there are rather too many "parties" that tend to "get involved" with things they do not know (like the classic pseudo intellectual who types about children being killed in war ... over the comfort of his home and while drinking a hot cup of cofee, and in the end he/she still thinks this world can achieve complete peace in this state ).
Don't get me wrong, I would definitely love if this world ever managed to get 100% peaceful, unfortunately we are forced to separate reality from unreality, the fact is:
"As long as there will be humans, there will be war."
It's an undeniable fact, what we can and should do is to keep it away from us and our own people, because the world and humanity are everything but perfect, know what I mean?

Re: Hey Snake!
Your right Snake, war is a fact of life. Look at Gaza. Jesus Christ! How long they been fighting? Like 2000 years, with a bunch of pauses. Iraq is easy, phase the troops out. Now Gaza....?

Kids check under their bed for the Bogeyman. The Bogeyman checks under his bed for Chuck Norris.

Yeah , I'm glad I don't live in the Middle East (I'm sorry for those who are killed everyday and don't want to have nothing to do with conflicts, war and just wanna live their lives normally).
It's just as I like to say:

By the way Jarhead, once we expand TAOW to other "locations" such as filefront, I'm gonna start a poll to see where people first got to know TAOW (at this moment the most voted response would be Moddb since it's our main mod profile, but it's quite a curious question).
I'm curious to ask you if you are Zacman1390 on moddb?

Re: Hey Snake!
sorry about the constant posting, I'm sure your busy. If everything matches up right I'll fork out some cash for an aircraft carrier. Alot of variables wether it would work or not though. Its made for a flight simulator game so its probably huge. But anyways I'll let you get back to what you were doing. By the way, love the new vehicle thread.

For sale? Sorry mate, I'm afraid we don't have the cash , if you can find a free model (like a Nimitz aircraft carrier), we would be extremely grateful
In case we can't find free models, we'll have to improvise and do one ourselves (specially by creating a special and large "Aircraft Carrier Project").
The poly count for ships and aircraft carriers is an exception to the rule and can have a much larger limit than land units (specially since they're gonna be big units), however if it's over 100.000 poly, I'm afraid that it might be too difficult to add (the game might not handle such a large poly count well).

No prob, my apologies for not replying right away, my net's kinda slow

Whoa mate, don't waste your precious cash for the aircraft carrier , in case of emergency the team will create'em

Many thanks , I personally was looking to establish a good and specifically dedicated and organized unit "showroom" since it had become clear that "The Art of War Vehicles" thread was disorganized and was becoming a poor response for people who wanted to view the units in an organized fashion. These last days I've been adding the already prepared and released units, more will be added later as they're released
Here's the previous vehicle dedicated thread:
